Danapur Division has one Divisional Railway Hospital at Danapur .It has 202 beds (including 05 Cabin beds)

Specialties available at Divisional Rly. Hospital /DNR – Medicine, Chest, Paediatrics, Orthopedics, ENT, Eye, Anaesthesia, Gynaecology, Dentistry, General Surgery and Pathology & Microbiology

Equipments available – Ultrasound equipments with Camera, Cardiac Monitor, Defibrillator, ECG Machine , Ultrasonic Stimulator, Cryo –Surgery, Unit , Fiber optic upper GI endoscopes , Pulse Ox meter, Laparoscope’s , Topcon ophthalmic operating Microscope, ENT operating Microscope etc. are available in Danapur Hospital /Danapur .

There are eight Health units in Danapur Division i.e. Buxur,Danapur Loco, Patna JN,

Bakhtiarpur, Mokama, Jhajha (Poly Clinic), Kiul & Nawada.

32 Medical Officers are available in Danapur Division. There are 21 (including one Prob. & one Dental Surgeon) is available at Div. Rly. Hospital/DNR and 11 doctors are available at Health Units of Danapur Division.

Sanctioned Strength of Group ‘D’ Staff in DNR Division = 558, Vacancy = 94

 

Nurses Training Centre – At present 01 Siter tutor is on Roll in NTC. There is no student in Nurses Training Centre.

Target Couple (the couple who does not adopt any F.W.Device) upto September 2003 – 319,

IUD up to 30/11/2003 – 23 Oral Pills – 76 Cycles, Nirodh – 3842 pieces, BCG-233, opv (3rd dose) 292 , DPT (3RD Dose ) –292 DT (2ND DOSE) – 37,Ttto Pregnant women (2nd dose ) – 66, Vitamin (2nd to 5th dose ) – 275

 

School Health Programme was observed in the month of August 2003. At Danapur School (213 student), at Jhajha School (57 student)& at Buxar School (96 student) were examined.

Hepatitis ‘B’ – Full course of Hepatitis ‘B’ vaccine is given to all new born babies in the hospital.

Children under age group ‘12’ are being administered these vaccines.

 

Pulse Polio – 1st Phase (14/09/2003 to 14/09/2003 to 18/09/2003) – 10,440 Children.

And in 2nd Phase (09/11/2003 to 13/11/2003) – 10,161 Children

Action Plan for next 5 years –developing Hospital Information Management system. (HIMS). Making 

Ophthalimic Centre of excellence, Improvement of Hospital for making Model Hospital, Developing ICU of the Hospital and Central Monitoring System, building of an Auditorium cum – Library Complex, Making a Burn Unit, Establishment of Blood Bank, like Scrub driver, Flipper Machines, Jet Cleaning Machines etc. Health education through installed in OT & ICUs, Computerization of all Hospital records.
